2. IRG-RAIL: THE INDEPENDENT EUROPEAN REGULATORS’ GROUP – RAIL
Araf is actively engaged in IRG-Rail, IRG-RAIL ESTABLISHED FIVE WORKING GROUPS which comprises approximatly
30 independent regulatory bodies and 1/ « EMERGING LEGISLATIVE PROPOSALS » was presided in 2014 by Jacques Prost,
Director of the Luxemburg Institute for
Regulation.
2/ « ACCESS »
IRG-Rail organises one to two plenary
sessions a year. The first was held in May
2014 in Luxembourg; the members
adopted common positions on the 4th 3/ « ACCESS TO SERVICE FACILITIES » Railway Package, on the draft measures
for the calculation method of directly in-
curred costs; the framework agreements;
and on the railway market monitoring 4/ « CHARGING FOR THE USE OF SERVICE FACILITIES » scheme (RMMS).
The second plenary session was held in
November 2014 in Luxembourg.
